Optical Fibre :- Optical fibre is an optical system based upon the principle of total internal reflection

1. This system transfers light from one end to others end without any loss of amplitude or intesity

2.  It is basically composed of a long , large and compact quartz fibre and each fibre is 10-4 cm
     Thick

3. Around the optical fibre a substance of comparatively less refractive index (1.6) is wrapped

4. When light rays are incident on one side of this fibre by making a small angle, then these are
     Refracted inside it.

5. On this limited surface the angle of incidence becomes greater than critical angle and thus
     Total internal reflection takes place repeatedly and the light rays are sent from one end to
     the others end


uses of optical fibre cable:-

1. Electrical signals are send from one place to other via optical fibre

2. It is used examine internal parts of human body

3. it is used in telecomunication
